FAYE Music Web Design
Project Introduction
This project requires to design a graphically musician web site and navigation system. The project should have a unique design language and a viable sense of function. Include an interface that acts as an embedded music/video player. Re-brand the topic or musician. This means design a new logo. Must follow best practice.
Design Process
Mood Board
The initial phase is to develop a design language for the project. This entails creating mood boards the determine how the design can possibly be branded. A mood board describes a design direction. The board is made up of a montage of images that define the mood. The images should be of colors, people, products, images and logos that hold the particular quality of the mood. Try to organize the montage in an interesting way.
For this project, define a Brand/Look and Feel: Faye is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actress, who is usually referred to in the media as a diva. Hugely popular in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, she has also gained a large following in Japan. Faye is known to be reserved in public, and has gained a reputation for her "coolness". In Encyclopedia of Contemporary Chinese Culture, Jeroen de Kloet characterised her as "singer, actress, mother, celebrity, royalty, sex symbol and diva all at the same time."
This mood board has been created for this musician. Collect a bunch of related images of Faye. Adjectives chose to describe this musician include stylish, cool, and modern. The mood board displays a blue and red color scheme, a mix of modern style and sans-serif font. This template takes a streamlined approach. All the elements (colors, template, fonts) have been created for the mood board were inspired by Faye's musical style and personality.
Logo thumbnails
Sketch logo creative ideas in logo thumbnails. In this process, details are not important. Leave everything conceptually open, and a possibility and let ideas flow. Take 3 of best ones and recreate them in the design software. In digital draft, the logo can be experimented with logo colors as well as typography. Media player design is most important session on this musician web site, it is of no doubt that designing a good media player ensures a good user experience. Focus on playing the content, functional elements (Play/Pause, Forward/Backwards) and interaction usage patterns which are prevalent should suffice.

Paper prototypes are helpful at almost every step of the design project. Paper prototypes can explore a few different options really quick. In this process, I picked three of best ideations and illustrate them with greater clarity, so everyone can see exactly what goes where inside the project. Organize every piece of content and visual components to ensure a logical and enjoyable user experience.

Summary
Large typography is a popular trend in modern web design. I used the web site’s logo to create the large typography which is located on the top of main page. It commands attention and is often the first thing we look at when entering a site, and has the power to convey to mood and feeling of music which it’s promoting.
In this music website design solutions, I put together include websites that feature high quality images, branding that represents the style of the artist, embedded video player, album galleries and more. I also incorporate social media tie-ins on the bottom of the main page that help this musician get the most she can from her website.
